Errol Reuben Fernades is an expert horticulturist and broadcaster.  

As the Head of Horticulture at the Horniman Museum and Gardens, Errol cares for 16 acres of stunning gardens, whilst he has also brought his passion for a more sustainable horticultural future to audiences with his TV appearances on BBC Gardeners' World, ITV’s Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club and C4’s The Great Garden Revolution.  

After completing his Master's, Errol worked as an Art Psychotherapist before gaining his Horticultural & Botanical training at the Chelsea Physic Garden and Capel Manor College, London’s only specialist environmental college.  Before joining the Horniman five years ago, Errol worked as Senior Gardener for the 112-acre Kenwood House Estate in Hampstead.  

Errol shares his insights and expertise in major publications such as Gardens Illustrated, The Guardian, and The Telegraph, as well as being a guest speaker for The Gardens Trust, the Garden Museum, the London Gardens Network, and the Beth Chatto Symposium, amongst others. Errol has also collaborated with brands like Project Giving Back at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
