Jean Vernon is an award-winning writer and author of the bestselling book, The Secret Lives of Garden Bees, and Attracting Garden Pollinators

Jean has a passion for wildlife, pollinators and especially bumblebees and solitary bees. She is on a mission to demystify, unravel and explain the intricate balance of nature in your garden and to introduce you to the familiar and unfamiliar bees and pollinators that exist in the garden habitat.

Jean writes articles for newspapers and magazines, gives talks and runs workshops to inspire and inform all ages about the wonders of our pollinators and the role that they play in nature. During peak bee-season, April to September, she is usually found in and around the flowerbeds looking for bees.

Take a Bumblebee Safari with Jean around the garden, focussing on bumblebees, solitary bees and the flowers that they feed on. Experience the beauty of our garden bees close-up and hear some fascinating stories about our wild bees. Don’t miss Jean's nature table, packed full of fascinating items to engage everyone in the secret world of pollinators. She will happily chat about bees and pollinators until the cows come home!
