Tamsin Westhorpe is an experienced horticultural editor and author, RHS Chelsea Flower Show Judge, podcaster and lecturer. Her aim is to, in her words, ‘demystify gardening and help people gain in confidence whilst having jolly good fun.’
Having started her horticultural career at the age of 17, spending time as a parks gardener and greenkeeper, Tamsin is passionate about being hands on in the garden.
After editing The English Garden magazine for seven years, Tamsin is now curator and gardener at Stockton Bury Gardens in Herefordshire.
She is also editor of the Horticultural Trade Association members magazine and author of two books: Diary of a Modern Country Gardener, and Grasping the Nettle: Tales from a Modern Country Gardener.
Her first book, Diary of a Modern Country Gardener which was endorsed by Chris Beardshaw, reached #1 on Amazon for Horticulture a few weeks after being released and was selected as book of the week by The Daily Mail.
Her second book, Grasping the Nettle, is a delightfully funny memoir about one woman’s life in horticulture. A guide to making a living with muddy fingernails, steel toe-capped boots and a can-do gardening attitude.
Her mission is to help the next generation to achieve their horticultural ambitions. |
